2775    Wood Sculpture "Maternal" $295

My West African partner, DAUDA OSHO ADEWUSI hand selected this detailed wood sculpture of native carving. A skill that has been passed down for generations that was completed with only a knife. Large figure standing 10 1/2 inches high by 4 1/8 inches by 3 inches is detailed and an excellent example of Gambia native art. This is an older piece and has received some minor abuse that is only apparent upon close inspection, bruised nose, small chip left little toe, a little African dust.  Sculpture displays a common maternal theme of baby nursing and the subject of a proud father.
